    Local Aluminum Extrusion Suppliers

As the title state, curious if there are any 10 & 15 series aluminum extrusion suppliers/stores in the Bay Area? I’m aware of all the online options, but curious if it might be cheaper, and I’d imagine more convenient to buy locally.

I NEED HELP FIGURING OUT WHY I CANT KEEP SPS

Not much more to be said here. Other than water parameters, 40% on a XR15 is pretty low I run 2 XR15s at 90% over my SPS rack and my other 3 at 60% over my LPS. What are your PAR values? The thin Zooxanthellae in SPS use light as its energy source, so low light mean starved coral.

Need advice on Acrylic or Poly tank cover.

Polycarbonate won’t absorb water therefore won’t warp and bow as much. Polycarbonate will block out more light than acrylic though. You can also try reducing surface agitation for less evap.

    Sicce SDC pump experience?

Following. I’ve been considering the SDC 7.0 or 9.0 for a while now too. Price to specs and reviews, it just hasn’t seemed worth it. If I were to pull the trigger I’d buy one open boxed. I have also read on several forums that they let out a slight buzzing. I’d love to hear local reefers...

Blue star polyps and rasta zoas

They do look to be the same, thank you for sharing that @Coral reefer. I have been able to manage them on this tile for over a year, they popped up on a frag of the Rasta zoas and as you can see they grew out WAYYY faster than the zoas. If no one wants them by next week guess I’ll just chuck em. Lol

Anyone ever bought fish from Petco.com?

At $37 that’s a steal! Just QT it with meds and copper, go to Humblefish and look up their methods if you’re not familiar. I’ve actually had great luck with fish from Petco’s website in the past. They come from the same source as liveaquaria. No I don’t think they do. Not on saltwater fish at least

    Mixing Anemones?

No personal experience, but I've spoken to a couple people that have tried collecting "High end" nems in a big tank. In some cases with each species kept in their own basket with no direct contact with one another. In all cases that I've heard of, (and read) they eventually have chemical warfare...

    Reefinglens Flat

They went in yesterday after 20 days in a QT using Humblefish methods then transferred into an observation tank for 12 days. They’ve been exploring the tank together and immediately started grazing. Something to note is that this pair would still be considered juvenile fish based on their size...

    Reefinglens Flat

Decided to tie in a side tank. Was going back and forth on making it an SPS box or a refugium.. I decided it will be my “hate it or love it” box. Petco’s 15gal cube, reinforced the silicone seams with black silicone, painted every pane and bottom black, except the front of course. And drilled...
