    Green brittle star ???

I've never personally seen them eat a fish in my tank, but small fish go missing sometimes and I've heard they can. I bet they only eat weak fish that are dying anyway. They get to be 10" in diameter so the bigger tank would be better long term.

    No water charges?

My 168, and 300 both are/were minimal changes with full dosing. I like going with wet skimming out some water and replacing with fresh salt water. My 30 softie system needs almost no new water.

Oh yeah, forgot that dry rocks leech a bunch of phosphate. Maxed out the reader!!! Gfo and carbon in the jumbo reactor and a few mL of lanthanum chloride in the skimmer and I'll measure in a bit.

For dosing, the Balling method makes the most sense to me. It gives you control of the 3 major elements, lets you adjust amount of trace element based on coral stocking, and mitigates the slow increase of sodium chloride that is made from dosing 2 part by itself. I finished setting up my...

How to measure radius of curved corners?

We usually do an offset all the way around in CAD. So something like .050" offset all the way around so you get an even gap.

How to measure radius of curved corners?

Measure the straight part, subtract from the total length, that is the diameter of your circle. Measure both length and width and average the diameters to make sure you are accurate. Other ways. Roll a piece of paper into a circle until it fits in the arc, then measure the circle, or flatten...

    Skimmer not making bubbles

Thanks for the help everyone. The answer to this one was the venturi was not being pushed all the way into the skimmer body. It was a good exercise in taking everything apart and cleaning it though.

I like having both ladders. I do not hear the parrotfish. Likely both because it is mostly eating pellets, and because there is a decent hum from the big pumps and water flowing in the 5 tanks.

Probably through almost a 60 gallon change by now. The skimmer is almost running as clean as I like it. About time to figure out the dosing, and the rats nest. I have the controller board from my last build, but I am actually not using much of the same equipment right now. Still liking the...

Did my first water change today, a wet skim is always my favorite. Since I hadn't been running the skimmer since the start, there was plenty to wet skim out. I've done about 40 gallons today.

    Favorite step stool or stepladder?

Hook one of these up to a closed circuit in the tank and let er rip! Some spillage might occur. https://images.app.goo.gl/w3Kp48dozLuVKpYs6 My favorite is the Werner step stool with the rubber handle on top.
