    Requesting permission to be lazy

The coraline is not a huge deal in my mind. It’s the green algae on the glass. It’s the kind that is really hard to remove with a scraper - all due to my neglect.

    Requesting permission to be lazy

I just don’t want to waste 200g of water. I guess I could try it and if it doesn’t work out, dump a bunch of citric acid in there…

    Requesting permission to be lazy

I’m converting my tank to freshwater but there’s a lot of green algae and coraline on the glass and overflow. If I run it with cold freshwater and a ton of power heads for a few days, do you think it will go away and get filtered out?

    Ofzakaria tigertail sea cucumber

As long as they have sand to munch on, they’ll eat it and put it back, so I doubt a minimum is required. They live in the rocks and stretch out to eat sand around them.

Thank you. I don’t intend to disappear- I’m still committed to being webmaster and working on BARcode as needed. I’ll also attend some events. @under_water_ninja is going to take all the fish next Monday.

I’d love to give you the pencils - they are so damn cool and I know you’d give them a great home. I’ll see if we can work that out.

    Throwing in the (salty) towel

Some clarifications are in order: I'm looking for someone that will come to my house in Scotts Valley, help me pull out rocks and catch all the fish one afternoon, then take them away to a suitable system. In exchange, all the fish are free. (I estimate they're worth over $1500) I don't mind if...

    Throwing in the (salty) towel

After a series of unfortunate events and a healthy dose of neglect, my tank is a disaster. I've come to the realization that I'm not cut out for this. The pandemic gave me a false sense of confidence and a lot of time, but things have changed. So, I'm going to keep my tank but switch to a...

Yes, much better. Thanks for asking. Fish and skimmer are behaving normally and I have another water change in the works.
