    Invited Speaker for 2020

Don’t know what the budget is for bringing someone but what about Eliot Lim from Marine Collectors in LA, he could potentially talk about fish qt and diseases as well as sourcing and caring for rarer fish.

    DBTC: Calfo Pulsing Sinularia

Is this coral pink like this: Does it grow super fast? What kind of light does it need? I'd be interested if I'm eligible for it (I've never taken a dbtc coral before so I don't know if I am)

    A good little tank

Going through my own thread I noticed the goni I got from @Coral reefer has actually grown a ton since June, as has the lithophyllon. It makes me so happy to know the corals are actually growing pretty fast and well! I really can't thank Mike enough for them. The blasto you gave me has four...

    A good little tank

Thanks @Chromis, that's a very nice compliment! I'm loving the tank so far, and he's a pic of the stand! Recently the birdsnest and setsosa have started to grow more rapidly. I took a pic of the tank tonight to compare with in the future. Occasionally (it seems to be after water changes) the...

Fishless frag tank for post frag swap

Yeah I know it’s an insane amount of time! But according to reef2reef’s disease experts it’s the only way to be sure you don’t introduce ich cysts and while I think it’s overkill I just don’t want to take any risks with the 3 fish I’ve worked so hard to qt.

Fishless frag tank for post frag swap

Hi Bar I’m wondering if anyone has a fish-less frag tank (or really any tank without fish that can grow coral) that I can rent space in for after the frag swap. I’d like to participate in the swap but I don’t want to risk introducing a fish disease into my nano tank after the agony of...

    A good little tank

I've now had the tank for a little over a year. In that time the biggest difficulty has been fish disease and QT. Nothing else has been as much of a challenge. I lost a single coral, and have had some coral set backs, but besides the goni that came with the tank, every coral has recovered by...

    A good little tank

photo dump time! obviously pictures are what bring folks to a build thread, so here's my very blue iPhone pics  After we returned from our vacation, I realized the tank was suffering from being in so much direct sunlight, so my husband and I moved the tank. Its helped improve coral...

[Oct 19, 2019] Regional Frag Swap (San Francisco)

Excited for this! I’ve been to this location and it’s lovely! I’ll have frags to put into the swap this time (a few kinds of zoas) so excited to be contributing!

    Gus' stash up for grabs

In that case I’ll pass on it - too aggressive of a coral for my 10 gallon. I’d take the Duncan coral though! It looks pretty. Where are you located again? Happy to come by one day with some zoas for you.

    Gus' stash up for grabs

I’d be interested in the leptasria (red/blue). Are you in sf? If not it would be hard for me to get the frag so someone else should get it. I don’t have tons to trade but would be happy to share some zoas - I have green dragon, vamp and Gatorade Zoas if any of those interest you

    A good little tank

My husband and I are off for a three week vacation to Japan, leaving our tank for the longest time since we got it almost a year ago. A good friend who’s fish sat in the past is helping us out, so I have hope that all will be well baring a power outage or other disaster. Here’s a photo of the...

    Softies

This website has a bunch of amazing softies including a photosynthetic pink nepthea and a Xenia that grows in ball shapes. If I had the money to spend I’d get those for sure. https://www.marinefarmers.com I have a basic neon green toadstool that I love- wonderful wave patterns in the flow and...

    Steinhart Tour 2019

Thanks for putting this tour together - I had a great time behind the scenes and meeting members! Also wanted to add that fish geeks (like me) have a lot to love at the aquarium right now - including dejongs grammas, venustas angels, many roaps butterflyfish including a tinkers, deepwater...
