I'm in the market for a new sump, and finally (don't laugh) for the first time going to have an ATO set up. Is there a good/better/best ranking of different ATO switch systems? Float vs optical vs ??? I don't have any patience for 'fiddly' gear that requires frequent maint/tweaking to work...

Eric - your sump looks great! I'm curious how much more prep you had to do on the panels after Tap cut them for you - do they need to be polished before glue-up? Typical weld-on 4?

It's... Similar to that one. Tan base, green polyps. But it's had a rough life until now, def not that bright at the moment.

The main issue was that the tank was absolutely overrun with majano anemones.

wellll it took longer than I'd planned, but I finished the replace-rock-and-sand project sometime in early Dec. The fish seem a lot bolder now with less rock in the tank, and I'm going to try to keep it a bit more open than it was. I still need to get all the corals glued back to the aquascape...
