    Here we go again - Dave's 120 g

When I acquired the livestock from the cylinder I got a couple of items that are in PVC end caps, see below: How the heck would I go about getting them out and attaching them to something with a little more aesthetic appeal without damaging them? Also, not entirely sure what this is? Some...

    Local Resource for Adaptors?

I recently bought a replacement for my Sicce PSK-750 pump on my Reef Octopus OCTX 200. Seems like this pump is not made any more so I got the Sicce PSK-1000. However this has slightly different outputs / inputs so I need to get sme adapters for both connecting to the Skimmer and the Venturi...

    Quarantine tank?

I have a 20g that I just spin up as needed. Simple HOB filter with some bio material that for now is in my main sump. Will switch to the QT as needed then dispose if I need to medicate. Simple LED strip light on my wall next to it and all hooked up top the Apex. And a few $2 PVC fittings for the...

    Fool proofing water top-up

I do exactly what you are describing here. I've always been wary of too much gadgetry when a simple float valve has always served me well so far. I do need to manually refill my top off container ~ 2 times a week, but I'm also adding vinegar/Kalk+2 to the RO so I don't need dosing gadgets too...

I made 4 holes for my water plumbing ... hesitant to run any more, but maybe that's the only way to do this "easily".

On the cabinet wiring, make sure you have a drip loop BELOW the transformer, just incase anything drips down there :)

    Apex Controller Experts ....

Is there any way to use the controller to manage a remote outlet? My controller is in my garage, watching my sump etc. But I'd like to also control my powerheads that are in my living room and not sure if there are any clever hacks to do this? Back in the day I was munging around with X10...

    Here we go again - Dave's 120 g

Thought I would toss in a "behind the scenes"shot - This is the garage side of my tank. I am still in my tinkering/stabilizing phase so almost impossible to keep clean! Still using the tiny sump that came with the cylinder tank but hoping to get something bigger soon as it's a little cramped...
