Last year I was diving in Belize. The DMs all had trident style spears to get any Lion fish. The nurse sharks in the area love to eat the dead fish even though they don’t hunt them. Consequently by the end of the dive we had 7 or 8 sharks literally bumping into us. Never had that happen before.

I’ve had mine down in my sump for about six months. I’m using a clear tube with some holes drilled for mixing vs the included mixing pump. My sump does get a lot of flow given it drives 630 gallons of display tanks. I clean the tube out every couple weeks.

I’ve dove off of Poipu a few times. They do have shore dives although both times I tried they had had crazy rains which caused the vis to be so bad they canceled. I told them I’m a Monterrey diver so 25’ for me is a great day ;) Not much coral to speak of, although the lava tubes and underwater...

Got it. What about a Foxface? I put all my tangs in my big tank and now they love to splash about and break any coral that I mount on the top. Unicorn and Naso tangs in particular are total jerks and hate my aquascaping choices ;)

Does anyone keep this in the main tank or will the fish demolish it?

What a really fun event! My daughter Lucy had a blast looking and picking out all the coral. So far everything has acclimated well in our grow out tank. I’ll post some pics after I get everything into its final spots. Thanks again to all the volunteers who made this happen!!!!

I have a CSB and they are notorious for not getting along with other bubble tips. Typically only one survives the chemical warfare. I love the look of the black widow but haven’t been willing to risk my CSB to add one yet.

Oh that sucks. I do know Robert has a snowflake eel at Neptune Aquatics that he has had for about a year, so very well acclimated. Although I have heard stories that he has bitten most of the staff who were not paying attention … He keeps trying to get me to take it but boy one eel is enough.

I have a fridge for dosing Reef Nutrition (Oyster, Phyto & Roti) using DOS pumps and a fridge with a voided warranty. What fish foods are you fridge feeding?

I’m switching all my auto feeders to the Plank. So much better designed. Once I didn’t get the drum fully latched in and when it went to feed the whole thing pitched into the tank. Talk about a mess.

Ah thanks for the link! I asked and the dealer said he had kept it for over six months with the rest of his BTAs without an issue. I run my system at 78. I’ll report back if it makes it As a side note diving in Japan is on my bucket list. Would be wild to see a whole grouping of these in the wild.
