as a sps dominate tank, i have only used the red sea blue. i typical run my alk 7.8 - 8.2 as my swings.

ditto - i have tons of dead acro colonies still in the tank. take them home and throw them in your carx for media afterwards!!!

take in consideration for what alk level you want to be at. that salt runs at 12 alk. if you are planning sps, its best to get the blue version since it mixes at 7. i run 7.5 - 8 for my sps dominated tank.

if its the same as the marinepur bio blocks that 8x8x4 - it is known to leach aluminum in the tank. not only that, but its very fragile and can crumble over time. i had 2 of them in my rsr350 and icp did show elevated amounts of aluminum before removing them and going with the maxspec bio media...
