The 24-105 f4 L is a pretty good travel lens. Sharp over most of its focal length even at wide open. The f4 does limit it some in lower light situations. Tripod use becomes much more crittial. The EOS 1D is not a full frame camera. It has a 1.3X crop.

The 600 f4L is some serious glass. Share some pix you take with it! Had the 400 2.8 L for a while. Was a bear to use until I got a Wimberly Gimbal head.

They are not fused together. There is a nipple on the cuvette and the hose slips over it. Pretty tight fight iirc. Where exactly is it leaking from? Picture would help. Start a support ticket if you haven't already.

It is set to 77 on the heater controller. But I did not calibrate either sensor (Apex or heater controller) to each other or to a calibrated thermometer. This is just to demonstrate how tight the control is without having to use an Apex to regulate it.

I highly recommend the Innovative Marine Helios heater. Below is the graph over 1 day. This is using the controller to turn the heater on and off. Not the Apex. It is also a PTC heater, not your regular filament heater and has a lot of safeguards.
