I bought this tank from a member today. Seems fine loading into the suv. Once I got home, opened the rear suv gate and found there are two chips. So I'm down a couple hundred bucks but whatever.

Pick up in san jose

Believe it's a leemar. Rimless with center overflow. 48x30x20 high. The chips are at the top of the tank. Still usable but I don't want this bad memory.

Hey, that looks like my old tank. :)

It was a Leemar with those dimensions and a couple chips (looks like a couple more have been added since though).

If it is the one I had, it’s good to see it staying in the club.

This will not hold water. Found another chip at lower front left. Bubbles all around seams. Also my bad for being too trust worthy and didn't examine enough.

I can't believe this mofo which I gave tank for free and he turned around to sell it.

Oh man. That’s my pet peeve right there. Opportunist !!! Just sad.

It's the world we live in apparently, give it away for free, someone turns around to sell it. Something sells for $300, buy it all up and sell it for $600

Dude apparently has a crap ton of stuff he's selling, lots of fish tanks. Probably just flipping them for a profit, what a dill weed

I'm sorry, are you upset about the fact that he took something given to him for FREE and trying to get some $$ for it? Or that it was a missed opportunity for you?

I believe it was YOUR decision to give it away for free. And while I can appreciate the good will involved, once it is in his hands, it is his choice to do what wants with it. He can decide to smash it into a billion bits or try and make some money from it.

Just to be clear, I do not like what he is doing (flipping items gotten for free), but it IS his now to do as he pleases. If this is an issue for you, maybe you should have clarified what his intentions were before giving it to him. Though, if he goes back on his stated intentions, not a whole lot you can do about it anyway.

I've given away lots of stuff only to see it for sale later. It is what it is. Maybe once he had it, he found out it is not going to work for what he wanted it for? Maybe he is out of a job and this is his way of making ends meet? Has ANYONE asked him?

My 2 cents!. If I do post anything on Craigslist for free it's next in line for our dumps whether it be large armoire or glass paper weight!. Saves the hassle and dump fees. I don't have garage sales or the storage space to keep items for long periods if no one wants them its dump or free they go. If someone has the space and is willing to take time running around getting items and finding new homes for them so they do not go into our landfills all good with me!! especially with glass paper weights since most of those end up in the landfills or melted..Looked at the guys other items DVD players, old cook books, old brief cases which honestly everything is dirt cheep including the other 4 tanks selling from 35$ to 75 some with heaters and decorations included..That starfire listed for 75 bucks is useless to most fish hobbits but reptiles peeps would love it..Popper did you give away the extra glass panels you bought for the tank as well? ..Don't know how this guy's making any money with the time and gas expenses but the best thing it's getting repurposed and not going into landfills..

Honestly I don't use Craigslist mostly just donate stuff to local charity thrift shops or goodwill for them to mark up and sell but even they don't except large tanks
