    Lots of Zoas

Its a curse when zoas grow this fast. I believe the red ones were sold to me as BamBam's red zoas. It certainly looks like bambams if memory serves me. When is the next frag work shop? Or the next frag swap? I can't frag them for the frag swap but I can bring it and people can take what...

    Lots of Zoas

Just curious, what is the best way to share some nice zoas besides DBTC and paying it forward? They are growing like weeds in my tank. I gave away a lot of them 6 months ago and i'm already on a 2nd large batch to give away. I find that having people come over just isn't very efficient and...

    Free Zoo’s

After a few years my tank is finally recovered and what I have now is an abundance of Zooanthids that are growing like weeds and I’d like to get rid of it. If anyone wants them its yours. May be too much for 1 person. most of it is growing up the wall, the other has taken over a rock. not...

    trocus snails breeding

Just an update. 4 days ago 10/25/2009 I am seeing a LOT of baby trocus in the filter bag. So about 2 months roughly to go from eggs and larvae to actual snails with a shell. I am talking a ton of tiny babies. I thought about removing them and putting them in the tank BUT i also notice there...

    Recommend an Electric Generator

You need to think about many factors when choosing a generator. For me, my requirements for a generators are: Long Lasting Fuel can be stored without worry of age decay/contamination (propane or diesel) Fuel won't damage unit Quiet Most people who buy generators don't think...

    trocus snails breeding

This has happened before and I never really noticed it but I just had a spawn event happening yesterday. Its pretty cool. You can see all the snails bunch up together near the surface of the tank along the perimeter of the tank.. There were 3 groups of them. The all of a sudden milky sperm...

    Phosphate

The real question is how do you even know your rock is bounded with PO4? It most likely is from what I read, but how do you quantitate the amount that would justify nuking (if possible) or replacement. Why would you nuke a rock without test? Perhaps he knows something we don't know regarding...

    Phosphate

I guess he may as well just throw out his tank and forget reefing. Can't test it, can't fix the problem without knowing the cause.

    Phosphate

If your in San Francisco or plan to come out this way I can test your phosphate if you bring a sample. I got a colorimeter and reagents that are designed to detect low level PO4. I can tell you exactly how much po4 you got in your system.

    Working With Acrylic

CNC mills have come down by a lot! taigtools I've got one and I have to admit I don't use it that much so its a waste of money. If I were to do it again, I may just get a manual mill. Of course if milling isn't your thing I believe you can print your parts now affordably...

    BAR Swap - Acropora Loisettae

I just realized the coral I brought to the swap is the Steve Elias Stag. I labeled it as an Acropora Loisettae but this is the coral I bought from Steve Tyree 4 years ago. Just thought you'd want to know where it originated from. It will look like this when its larger. pix is from...
