    Pros/cons of automatic water changes

Thanks everybody for your experience and advice, as always appreciate the wide range of knowledge in the club. A lot of what people say confirms what I had been thinking the AWC too. I probably won’t do any changes before I can be home to observe for a long amount of time, but what systems have...

    Pros/cons of automatic water changes

I have been thinking about this since I will be away from my tank for a few stretches of time in the coming months. I usually do a 5 gallon water change once a week on my 90 gallon system and thats easy enough to have someone else do when I am gone but I thought if there are a lot of other...

    BleepBloop’s 73 Gallon

I did switch to rowaphos for my po4 media and did not realize how fast it depletes so my phosphates were at 0.15 recently, I went back to regular GFO media. My nitrates also had hovered around 10 ppm for a while and were now at 25 ppm which may be due to me not emptying my algae reactor often...

    BleepBloop’s 73 Gallon

Since the beginning of the month my ph has gone down steadily and my temperature has gone up, I have been putting a fan the last few times it has gotten really hot but haven't connected it to apex yet or anything, I am not exactly sure why the ph has gone down, my co2 media was pretty wet but...

    Shallow sandbed stir for cyano?

I’ve both siphoned out sand that had cyano and used a turkey baster to sort of blast the top layer without noticing any ill effect, but I would say use caution and be ready to siphon out in case you accidentally stir up too much, especially if you haven’t touched the sandbed in a long time

    Feeding tangs.

I had the other problem where they weren’t eating it on the clip but they love the grazer. Definitely give it a few days, one of my favorite overpriced goods for my tank
