yeah same stuff.. It's not just 2x4. Plywood and everything else too. I remember paying ~$9 for a sheet of 3/8" plywood (3 layers). Same piece cost $14 now..

Don't feed it big chunk of food. Flake, mysid shrimps, pellets are better, IMO.

you shouldn't have any problem with 28"H. Mine is around 30+. The water come out slow but my tank is only a 40G so no problem.

That looks like Chinese made tank. I suggest you double check the glass. If it's temper, it can't be drilled.
