    red sea sells a kit. then kraken reef has lids as well, pricey. they sell the red sea kits at AC.

    Miter saw is great. Had it for a few years now. No problems. The first time I set up my tank everything was neatl. Wires all had Velcro every couple feet. Then minus to change out a heater and it was such a pain. I think the j hooks are the way to go. Everything loose but still together.

    I have a spare g1 525 cabinet. I think I will use that and make it to the exact specs I want. I have plans for a wood working table that I’ve been wanting to make. Now’s the time. That way the cabinet will match with the tank cabinet, and im basically forced to make the wood working table.

    I do have this empty space here. I could just build a shallow cabinet against the wall. then use the cabinet under the tank to house the dosing stuff. then that would separate the electrical from any liquids

    yea, thats the goal. just to get things off the ground. i do plan on leaving the wires loose like @derek_SR said. so i can easily move things around. i'll check out that ikea peg board. i would rather not spend half the day cutting French cleats
