This is a good first approach to tackle what sounds like a bacteria issue. I have seen this goes so ways and most of the time the prognosis is not good. Bacteria issue could be secondary and derived from virus or bugs, too. Hope you get a grasp on this infection. \

Sorry to see you had to resort to this route. What fish or coral you last added? How long ago if any changes to the tank? Septicemia? What drugs are you considering to use?

“Crappy” is an understatement, more like big liability. Get it!

Anampses are difficult. You can flood tank with a variety of food and it may emulate other fish. It’s good that it’s coming out of bed every day otherwise it would have been a goner. Live brine, clams and mysis may help. If you’re lucky to keep it and see it morphed to male, it will be a sight...
