I think it is because I target feed them...maybe the extra food / energy causes them to spawn..

Another batch of babies were just released from their mother....excited to see what color mixes occur this time!

I have heard that mini max anemones can get fish...but unless it is really on its last fin, rock flowers wouldn't take down any fish

They grow based on about of food they get. I spot feed the babies and they grow pretty fast. The "parents" I have are about 4" in diameter

I didn't notice any moon related events....but I am sure you could look at the day I posted the spawning to see if anything lunar was occuring that day. I do spot feed them quite regularly.

Also, some have long tentacles, others have short ones. Some tentacles are all smooth, while others are serrated.

I would say mostly random....the father is nuclear green and mom is all red....but I have a few orange with green/ red centers, some red tentacles with bright yellow centers and some green with sporadic white.

Many are starting to outgrow their end caps...
