    Overflow Boxes

Yes, I meant the "uniseals", I would avoid these. If I had known I could have it made with bulkheads instead, I definitely would have gone that route.

    Overflow Boxes

I like "shadow" overflow boxes the best. Next best is Eshopps, they both are very good. The Modular marine one I have uses slip, rubber, non-glueable downspouts, would not recommend them. I also had to threaten them with contacting my credit card when I didn't receive my order or a reply to...

    Free cynarina(Donut coral)

I'm interested. I have an Acanthophilia that's been happy in my tank for years, I believe the Cynaria would like similar parameters. It's too nice to take for free though, Can I trade you some corals for it? I got a bunch of nice chalice frags.

New tank - Corals unhappy, water params look ok + diatoms?

I'd recalibrate your apex PH probe to make sure those numbers are correct. Maybe even buy a cheap PH pen to double check against.

PSA: Hanna Checker for Nitrates coming

I'm assuming they're using the method (or something similar) that people figured out using Red Sea's nitrate reagents and Hanna's ULR Phosphate Checker. Using that method, the ULR Phosphate checker won't read correctly if your nitrates are over 10. Guessing that will be the range with the new...

    Help with heavy tank?

FYI I just moved a 210g tank with 3 people, no way it weighed 600 lbs. Your location will help to see if there are any helpers close by.

    Fans in light fixture?

Those look perfect, nice to have the speed control to make sure there not too loud also. You can order extra brackets from aquatic life (or brs) for your fixture to mount them.

    Fans in light fixture?

Great idea! I was actually thinking about trying to mount a camera on the same hybrid fixture. Thought it would look cool when I'm traveling.

Using Hanna ULR Phosphate Checker for Nitrate

I have been using this method to check nitrates for the last few months, seems to work as advertised. Side note, I have tested substituting the "fresh salt water" with RODI water and the measurement comes out the same for me. Just FYI for those who don't have extra fresh salt water sitting...

    New WiFi Heater Controller

Just saw this on Amazon, looks like its been out for about a year but I haven't heard of any reefers using it. Seems like a great affordable option for those who don't want to buy an Apex. What do you think...

    P/N question...

I've used NeoNItro a few times when my nitrates dropped, does what it says it does

    Reefing Podcasts / Skimmate

Sigh, just finished the last episode yesterday. Looking for other podcasts like this but haven't found any yet. Also, here is a link to Rich's R2R tank thread, very interesting to see his feeding regiment. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/rich-ross-home-tank-guess-the-phosphate.296635/page-15

    Reefing Podcasts / Skimmate

Hey all, not sure if the rest of you are also in search of good content during this quarantine. I just found the podcast "Skimmate" by Rich and Terrance (both BAR members) and have been binge listening to all the episodes. Got to say, very entertaining and pretty educational as well...

    LF Chaeto in Oakland

Thanks all, I'm not too worried about common pests since I already have them in my tank (i.e. aptasia, bristle worms, vermettid snails, etc.).

    LF Chaeto in Oakland

Can anyone who is around Oakland spare a handful or 2 of Chaeto. I'm fighting a hair algae outbreak and hoping starting a fuge will help out compete it. Thanks

    Do I have Bristle worms?

New contest... Who can get a picture of the biggest bristle worm in their tank?

    Another UV thread

I'd just buy a cheap small pump and use it only for the UV, separate from your return pump/manifold.
