No-it’s a collection of failures specifically relating to Red Sea.
I am trying to assess actual probability of greater failure (or not) of Red Sea to other manufacturers
But in order to assess that -I need a lot of input on other tanks as well.
OK I am trying to get a small statistical study (either logistical regression and/or hazard ratio) going in respects to Red Sea tank failures, but I need to know some inputs first -Once I have this information then I will have a much more thorough form in Google for people to add in data. See...
Just recently I went to attempt to reschedule the trident to go 2x a day. Once for the combined and once for the alk-
I managed to connect to it by going through this:
https://apexfusion.com/apex/<ID>/config/outputs/6_3
Then I attempted the code :
Set off
If Time between 08:00 to 08:01...
I was looking at them. My only real concern is that they post at the top of their website that they need ventilation. Since my tank is pretty much enclosed in a cabinet -gives me pause on these specific ones.
If it has a 0-10v connector -then you can create profiles to ramp up/down the light with some caveats…
Even not the main source of lights -still want that ramp up/down as the areas that need it are pretty shaded..
As the post said - I may introduce a strip light to augment some shady spots.
I have two Red Sea 90’s in place but need something I can control by apex.
Thinking the AI 30 inch but that isn’t cheap-
$400 plus I need the module to plug it in.
Any other suggestions? Orpheak?

Interesting idea.. plank does come with a mixing tube -issue that plank rotates at specific rate per minute that can’t be adjusted. Not sure if it needs 24/7 dosing?
I could see how the CARX on a tank that size might pay off in about 3 years - I use 1 1600 mg can of AFR for the year...
Thanks. Beginning to wonder if it is the
Apex itself as I couldn’t calibrate the last Neptune probe either..
But I will see if I can calibrate against a different apex and see if that works. If so, I’ll have some answers
