Depends on purpose -for dosing under 1000 ml a day I have really liked the Red Sea dosers. Pretty reliable -and I like their double calibration method.

Sad to say I need to miss this now. I found out yesterday that it is only a matter of time (anywhere between today and two months) before car suddenly becomes a brick so we are car shopping Saturday.

Why are you seeing water in the chamber? Or what is causing it. I only clean the chamber if I really see clogging happening. I do clean the front (where food comes out) once a week. Running it for longer periods of time (2 min) seems to reduce the clogging.

If you go the way of DOS - You can also get a FMM with 2.sensors - so that if one sensor is triggered (ie the water going out is functional but the incoming water side is non functional) -the programming stops both of them and alerts you regardless of the ato used. I have a QD DOS. Works...
