It is a bummer that several tank companies will not let you opt out of their sumps. I run an IM but they did not force their sumps into the sale several years back. I chose my own much larger sump. You could always purchase the sump you want then try and resell the bundled sump forced upon you.

300v 18awg. With a magnifying glace I was able to read it off the wire. Got a 10 pack of male & female for 9 bucks.

Oh wow! @MichaelB sorry I was asking where the closed loop returns are located on the bottom glass panel. I guess regardless of where they are, you could run pipe to wherever you prefer then hide with rock and coral. Modular marine overflows are great! i ran one on an IM20.

My worry spot on a closed loop is the tank to bulkhead interface. To repair or plug that -after the tank is already running- you would have to empty the tank. All the other components are repairable without needing to empty the tank assuming you have gate valves in the right place. The holes...
