    Interceptor ?

I know it sounds crazy but call Your local Vet and explain to them what you are going to use it for. You will find one who will sell it to you. That’s how I used to get mine back in the day.

Chillers and Bay Area (Peninsula): needed?

I use one of the cheap clip on fans. See no plus or minus over the aquarium specific fans. Been in use for a couple years and going strong. Just have to clean them now and then just like any fan.

Power consumption of 108 gallon reefer system

    I have a 180 and I estimate at least $100 to $150 a month. I would guess $75 to $100 a month on the 108. So about $1200 a year.

Chillers and Bay Area (Peninsula): needed?

I live in Pleasanton and its gets hot here. I have a frag tank in the garage that gets cooled with a fan off of an Inkbird. Main tank in the house is controlled by the AC. When it gets really hot I use the frozen bottle method. I have a chiller but I disconnected it when i went from MH to LED.

    Recommendation for stocking a refugium

I have given all the above methods a try as well. The best I have found is Chaeto and light with a small circulation pump to keep things moving. I also run an external fuge instead of inline.

    SPS eating bugs?!?

Although dipping will/should fix it. If it were me and they are truly pods and I didnt want to pull the coral out. I would just cover the dead area with some glue. Usually stops the receding of the flesh.

    PSA on Vibrant

Pretty in depth look at this stuff! I have used Vibrant with success in my frag tank to get rid of hair algae and cyano. May have killed a shrimp but thats about it. Found it safe for softies and Zoas. Testing it on SPS now. Seems to have a hit or miss effect for people. Then there are...

newbie here! need help fast( getting back into the hobby!)

I would buy the new tank and add as much as the old water and rock as possible. New sand is a must if the old sand is 17 years old. Asking for trouble if you use the old sand. Corals will be fine as long as water temperature doesnt get too cold. Acclimation may be a good idea if the corals...
