    Help with red algae...

Hey just my two cents about cyano: 1. Even with flow, cyano can be a problem. I have personal experience that adding flow does nothing to help with cyano on spots directly in the path of high flow. 2. You need to watch chemiclean. It has caused a direct crash in one of my tanks. I would highly...

    SPS STNing, any ideas?

Dang dude, I wish I could help. I know after I fixed my alk issues, it still took a week or more for it to stop STNing and start recuperating. I had a very similar issue before with the (brown, thick, diatom-like) algae only growing on an isolated areas/rack, but all of this resolved itself...

The Credibility of Thomas Brown of Thomas Vision Reef (youtuber)

I don't know if I'd call him popular, but he has a youtube channel dedicated to reefing and covers various topics. He also covered one of Diabo Valley's events. TL;DR: He made some extraodinary claims about fish food containing astronomical mercury levels, which he still stands by. But a...

    Could leathers be the culprit?

nav, my tank is OK now if you need a temp space to care for your coral again. I don't think your leather is causing issues, but then again some things are still surprising me till this day.

    SPS STNing, any ideas?

looking good! I think there's some merit to a "too clean" system, but I honestly don't think for the majority of reefers out there that this applies to us.

Man what a difference a pump makes...

I bought my aquatec 8800 kit from BRS. It's basically plug and play with their setup. I tune it for 60psi with two membranes. My RODI filters lasts much longer now.
