    DBTC: RR Prometheus Acropora

Whoever wants a frag just message me, the big colony can use another trimming. Weekdays during the day are usually best for me but I can also leave it in a cooler on the porch at other times I'm not available. @Kenzo

    Your favorite tongs/tweezers

Unfortunately I have to agree, the Squidgly doesn't have tight tolerances so feels kind of sloppy, especially for the price. I can't recommend this product either for everyday all around use, BUT the ability to articulate the head is amazing. There's been a handful of time already where I've...

    UNS 90R

Looking good! Those UNS R tanks are a work of art! Robert showed me the insides and out of their display at Neptune and I was blown away how well thought out each component was and beautifully designed.

    Berghia success (despite wrasse)

My hypothesis is that wrasses are ok eating the smaller ones but not the big ones because they contain more stinging cells. They store the stinging cells from the aiptasia they eat in their cerata, the quill like things on their back. Your wrasses may have taken a big bite and learned the hard...

    Operation goby

I printed the same one and have it on my IM10. Works great at keeping baby seahorses from getting sucked in. With a tiny 20gph pump they still sometimes sucked up against it, but not through.

To new beginnings, excited for the journey ahead

Welcome! What's your plan to get it moved? The club has some equipment that will help the process like suction cup handles and many members have equipment you can borrow too (stock tank, dollies, etc). Check out @SupraSaltyReefer breakdown guide...

    Casey's Red Sea S-1000

Sprinkled some potassium chloride in the cup of water the flatworm was in and swirled it around. Definitely didn't like it, shriveled up and squirmed, but 10 minutes later he was on the move again. Sprinkled a little bit more this time on the flatworm. Immediately started disintegrating and...

    Casey's Red Sea S-1000

Welp, figured out why snails kept dying in the frag tank attached to my sump. Makes me wonder if there's any more. Last time I saw a leopard polyclad flatworm was over a decade ago when I caught a big one one eating my maxima clam. Anyone want him before I do a little potassium chloride...

    Electric work

I may have to give him a call. Got a couple electrical projects that have been on my to-do list for a long time, but starting to accept that I just don't have time and should just hire someone. Including running another dedicated line for the tank. Thanks for the reference!

    Too good to be true!

I have a stand that fits the IM 10 (12x15"). It's an IKEA kitchen cabinet so u can swap out the door for a white one. I think this one fits it: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/veddinge-door-white-00266797/ The cabinet frame for reference...

    Richie's 48x24x12 frag tank

Is the birds nest getting enough flow? I would think bubble algae would only be able to attach to dead skeleton and not coral flesh. If detritus settles in the inner parts of the colony it could cause tissue to die and bubble algae to grow on it. My pink birdsnest requires very strong lighting...

    CFM preview

Have a budget and try not to blow it :p Serious but not serious haha. It's a great opportunity to see so much variety of coral in person that it's mighty tempting. Have an idea of what you want ahead of time so you don't make any rash decisions on coral that's not suitable for your tank.

    Live Brine Shrimp storing

Longest I was able to raise baby brine shirmp was about 10 days before crashing. This was in a 2 gallon container, bubbler, and hair algae for nutrients uptake, powdered spirulina for food, and 50% water change every 4 days. I did see many grow to half adult size. Most cultures ive seen on...
