    Tank lid

Eric used a saw to cut the frame and we used 90 degree attachments that it came with to make a square cut out. Kinda janky but it works. I still would want a custom polycarbonate lid in the future to block less light in the center of my tank but they're pricey.

    Custom sumps?

If you want to spend and want a high quality custom sump, you should go with MRC https://www.mrcamerica.com/custom/ They have some base 48x18x18 sumps that would work for you too, if you just retrofit the drain area to an off the shelf filter roller https://www.mrcamerica.com/bio-sumps/ Other...

    TT’s Frag Tank

Whomever told you that hasn't been in the hobby long enough. We kept things long term under garbage compact fluorescent tubes back in the 90s and early 2000s. These blades can generate a lot of light, especially when in a shallow system like this. What's your water change and mineral replacement...

Any bubble tip nem gurus around???

Don't cut the lid, but you can increase the violet quite a bit. I run mine closer to 90% (of course do this gradually not overnight). Can adjust red and green to your overall color tastes after.

Any bubble tip nem gurus around???

You're probably losing 10% or so of the light to the new mesh lid also (assuming you didn't taking your light readings under the lid. Post a picture of your color settings too.

    Yellow coral recommendations

The Fiji yellow leathers will only look at way under full spectrum lighting so keep that in mind. Note that I saw these in the wild at just 3-5 feet getting insane amounts of light. Probably why they liked the old Iwasaki 6500k bulbs so much.

Any bubble tip nem gurus around???

Don't use those old lights, they were corroding pretty bad. Try turning up the intensity of the light and if you're using the tighter spread attachment, remove that. I've seen btas grow under terrible lighting. Whether they're more inflated under weak lighting, I'm not sure but it could be...

    SupraSaltyReefer's TankAPalooza Tang Addiction

@SupraSaltyReefer did you keep circulation going in the sump after you moved all the livestock? Reason I ask is that I see my pH drop pretty fast even during water changes when my return is off with all the rock and media I have in my sump respirating.
