    Power outage...

If it’s only a couple hours, it shouldn’t be much of an issue. Yes, manually stirring is a good idea. After a few hours the temp can drop and oxygen levels can decrease. I have had it go out many times for several hours without incident. Although I now have a large (VERY LOUD) generator...

    Tank question

Yup, makes it a bit easier, and adds more volume to your tank. HOWEVER!!!! If you get a problem in one(Ich, flatworms, red bugs, etc), it becomes a problem for both. Does not work as a quarantine tank. I did this for my frag tank, and am very happy with it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Large (like huge) Pocillipora colony

You got it Arnold. Gonna try to focus on letting the coral get BIG without any fighting. Just need the space. It is a very nice coral though. I will keep a frag in the frag tank though. I’ve never been good at giving things up. LOL! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Large (like huge) Pocillipora colony

Thanks for the interest, but I’m gonna go with Capescuba because they have a tank journal with our club. I’m sure there will be some frags made in moving this piece, so stay tuned. Nice tank btw. No coral? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Large (like huge) Pocillipora colony

Hey all, tank is mostly destroyed, and am now putting it back together. I am realizing that even though I am gonna have way less coral, I still need to get rid of some of my larger colonies. This is the first one I have decided to part with. This was given to me as a beautiful frag from...

Finally moved the green tenuis to a new rock. This one is pretty delicate, so was pretty worried about the move. Luckily it went well. Now to get the big monster rock that it was originally sitting on out of the tank. :(

LOL! Nah, he still doesn’t have a name, so we are good. Actually looking great today. I have had my hand in the tank all day and he is following me and picking at the rocks as they get moved, or turned over. Woo Hoo!!

    DBTC - Red Table

LOL! That’s a nice surprise. I usually trim off any dead stuff, to allow the healthy tissue to grow. Although, new growth is often white.....clean white. If it looks like it could be brown, or have algae on it.....pretty safe to trim it off. SPS are funny things. Over the years I figured...

So I am a very happy guy today. Two days ago, while sitting on the couch, I heard a thump on the wall, near the aquarium. I jumped up and grabbed a flashlight to make sure a fish hadn’t jumped (My temporary light holder doesn’t allow for the screen to fit) and sure enough, my Flame Wrasse had...
