I have this blue-tooth and it's okay. It's all plastic -> so don't sit on it. On the second gen - there was a lot more metal. 1 day sale usually has these every other month or so - you just have to wait it out

I agree with all of the above. Keep it simple - feeding dry food or frozen food is fine along with top-off should be fine. Anything else is makes it more complicated for the temporary tank caretaker. Feeding a little less is better than feeding too much.

I recall Arman (reefer) did something similar as to a frag station that was attached to the stand. The tabletop was hinged so it would fold flat against the side of the tank. The top was held up similar to a drop leaf table where a triangular piece of hinged wood would support the tabletop.

Just FYI - most ACE hardware stores sell a pretty good selection of nylon bolts and nuts, and I think wingnuts. 1/4 x 20 is pretty standard - Home Depot also sells it as well, but I find you really have to dig through their display boxes

I've used the square hockey puck for awhile on some of my tanks - they are reliable and less expensive than a controller. Good equipment to keep around even if you advance towards a controller

The only sucky thing about them is when they are growing under a rock as you are pulling the rock out. I've cut my fingers on these lil annoying devils

Salt creep can plug up the hole easily - I've had that a few times
