Well I have a Laguna Pump Pump lying around and decided to make a skimmer pump out of it. I'll keep you informed as it comes along.
I know others have done this so I want to know what you think. Diameter of the intake/output, diameter and width of the volute, etc.
So your an open aquascape type?
Sounds like you limiting your choices, that only leads to shorting yourself. Besides, why would you go back to FW with an awesome SW setup? and FW always look better with glass. haha.
I know what your saying, I feel the same why with my tanks, but you are making this too hard on yourself. When or if you decide to convert back to FW, especially planted, your aquascaping should be able to cover the plumbing.
Not to be a pain but I personaly like the Rio 50, but that's the only one. Only real reason is it's small. All other Rio products are crap, they explode, rot, stop working, etc. My Rio 50 ran for 4 yrs in a nauo until I tore it down.
My dues aren't cleared just yet, so my PM's don't work.
That's me, cookie? You can email me if you need to send the message again. jkief86@yahoo.com
And the coral is doing well as of yet.
My stuff is at:
76.6F
pH 8
1.024
KH 9.2
Alk 3.4
Ca 450
Good? Bad?
