Tikis return to the hobby, 40B

Tanks don't need to be cycled for most coral. Temp salinity flow and lighting for corals. Corals help speed cycle up actually. Granted don't start with acroporas, nems or other delicate ones lol.

Awesome. For snails I add sheet of seaweed once or twice a week on a magnetic nori holder (I see you have that already handled). If the holder is touching bottom of tank crabs will also eat it. So raise it a few inches if you want only the snails to get to it. Until id have coral in the tank...

Tikis return to the hobby, 40B

Sinking crab pellets twice a week for the hermits. Until you have fish and are actively feeding them. With no alage or food going into tank hermits may turn on each other or the snails. Crab pellets are cheap and it doesn't take many. Once they hit the water the crabs will find them by smell...

Ultra Coral Submissions for 4/26 Frag Swap

I'm not against it to be clear. On the same line would we allow someone to substitute say snails, crabs, shrimp etc in place of a coral? Granted it's a stretch to compare a Berghia with a fish. Maybe if it's submitted to be voted on. That would establish a method of some control to keep...

Ultra Coral Submissions for 4/26 Frag Swap

Maybe a raffle items or trade with someone? I personally wouldn't object but what happens next time someone wants to enter a fish instead of a coral. Probably not a good precedent to set. In the actual swap. No issue with raffle, trade, or a prearranged deal.

Got the new pressure gague installed: Looks like it's just over 70 psi maybe 71/72 According to videos and gone this system shouldn't need a booster pump if I'm reading this thing right. * To clarify the device is located in line after the 2nd carbon block and right before the in series ro...

    Seeking ID: Possible Pest

Most wouldn't classify vermatids in same category as say flatworms bugs and aptasia as in please don't bring any with those. More closer inline with asterina stars undesired in plague numbers but nothing that would prevent or make me hesitant from buying a coral if I seen them.

How does a BAR Frag Swap Work?

Fine tip sharpies work well it what most people actually do Another option if you have a printer is to grab some round label sheets I.5- 2 inches across (Avery brand is super easy to use and edit by going to their website and starting a template based on number listed on sticker package) they...
