    Have you tried snipping the tips off, maybe 1/4” into the flesh? This may remove the cause of the stn and allow it to heal. This has worked for me 70% of the time when I have stn and 50% for rtn.

    Yes, I’m hoping to use it on holding container. In searching @ReyDeFarts suggestion of ultrasonic, I found waterproof ultrasonic distance measurement sensor. Maybe use this? Sonic distance sensor

    besides the controller, to me it seems the only major difference is the co2 reactor with float or optical sensor to monitor amount of co2. i'm going to try to diy this by adding a float sensor, bio balls to a reactor and adding that to a 2 chamber carx.

    His green zoas are probably king Midas zoas. They yellow up in other tanks but are greenish in his.

    Maybe find someone willing to peel/scrape off the zoas or swap rocks. But if you value the rock more than the zoas, maybe do a pest tank with sundial snails, zoa spiders and zoa nudibranchs.
