    MD’s 45 Gallon Frag Tank

I'd go for composite shims. When the tank is empty, it will be easy to make adjustments. When you're happy with everything and fill the tank again, just snap the shims and you likely won't see them.

    210 gallon Dream tank

You should have plenty of space in that sump to get dual return pumps setup.

That's awesome! Stoked you were able to get that tank and the help to get it home.

    First phytoplankton culture attempt

Yeah... the constant rolling boil gets loud for sure!

    First phytoplankton culture attempt

It will go clear. You have to wait for one species to get out competed before another one will take off. My harvests are usually day 7-10. I'll let them go longer sometimes just to get it really dense.

    Derek's 225g - Magnifica / SPS Reef

It opened to the triton home page for me. Weird.

    First phytoplankton culture attempt

If you want to do it successfully, I'd definitely go with a culture grade single species as @BAYMAC mentioned. I'd reach out to @Coral Hub (Nathan) to get some tetra

    First phytoplankton culture attempt

I like culturing phyto. My tanks seem to enjoy it too. What strain are you culturing? Good luck!

    She said yes!

It's always cheaper to keep her! Congrats on the yes! I would love to have a Peacock mantis someday. I've already got too many tanks at this point. MTS is a real problem!

Looking for thoughts on substrate/ canopies

Definitely take a look at the CaribSea 'Oceans Direct' sand. They have a coarse option that supposed to be similar to Special grade grain size. It has a much more diverse microbiology from my understanding on the tests BRS performed. I mixed in a few bags with Fiji Pink and we really like the...

    Rainbow chalice

Not something I want to take on. But definitely something we need to discuss further about how we would approach this.

Alex’s Red Sea Reefer Nano (28-gallon)

Did you try to see if there was anyone in the club that could print these? If not, I may pursue trying to find a file similar to this design and see if we can have some printed.

Minimum safety for running a RODI line through a crawl space

If you're going to run a line under the house, then I would approach it with the intent of using a conduit of some sort. What Derek suggested would add expense and effort but also protect you. Could go with basic ½" PEX for the whole run and rodents may never even try to get at it, since the...

Alex’s Red Sea Reefer Nano (28-gallon)

That looks great! I had a similar vision for our qt/frag tank but wife went a completely different direction. I will have to show her your update and encourage her to go this route. Forgive me if you already mentioned it, but where did you get the racks?

Need Some Drain & Sump Wisdom

10-4 Yeah, still trying to dial it in better. Mainly to have a good habitat in the sump too for other beneficial creatures. Plus to have mature media I can use to seed other tanks or give away. Is having too much surface area for biological filtration a bad thing? I suppose it could be if it's...
