    Free Uline Styrofoam transport box

Hi All, I know I haven't been active, but wanted to give this styrofoam box out to those who may find it useful... before I toss it out. It's 12x12x13 (I believe). Great for transporting coral or keeping things. It's brand new. I received it free from someone who got out of the coral farming...

    Which paint for inside stand?

I may be late to this, but my previous research on RC mentioned that people were using marine paint, which I wish I used: "The Duralux 1-qt. Sub-Trop Red Primer is high quality rust inhibiting primer for iron, steel or partially rusted galvanized surfaces. Recommended for use in light to...

6-8 inch of water in it?! And a sand bed? Any amount of water, let alone sand is really tough to move. I hope you are able to bring friends and best of luck!

How do most of you guys battle cyanobacteria and other algae

Honestly, the only tjree things that worked for me for cyano and other algae: - feed less -- reduce feeding and other nutrients - Daily removal -- Suck all of it out into a sock that gets filtered back into the water. Do this daily - GFO I've never had algae that I couldn't fend off.

Anyone use mini wet-dry shopvac for spills?

FYI, the buckethead is great, but watch out for the siphoning effect even when it's off. It will continue to siphon if the bucket is lower than the body of water.

Help me figure this out! Algae+slowcoralgrowth

It doesn't look like dinos to me. Dinos tend to be very stringy. I would consider upping the water changes to at least 15% every week. If you can, brush and suck out as much of the hair algae with a hand pump: When I had algae issues, I would turn off the powerheads, brush off the algae, and...

    SPS dieing help!!!!!

I think you're a little ahead of yourself, but I was doing SPS @ 4 months and have been more successful with SPS than softies. IMO, the thing that causes most STN/RTN will be swings in parameters. What were your parameters last week? The week before? What are they now?
