How are you going to stop those little SOB’s from traveling to new tank?
I’m planing to go acrylic , don’t give them silicone to go through,
This is the second tank they’ve done this for me,
The cal academy knows about them, they’ve had them,
Their current and former staff are who I am turning to for advice,
And wtf are they?
A type of bristle worm, I believe.

Yeesh. Sorry you have to go through this twice! Be nice to find a fish that eats the little sobs!

A point brought up by chat GPT -is that no animal can actually digest silicone (as far as we know) -but if the silicone is compromised (due to kalk among other reasons mentioned) so that various species such as snails and worms can get in and bore through it).

Certain silicones can get eaten by urchins too (rare of course given how we don't hear it, but the custom tank guys at RAD blamed them and had to put on armored seams:)

These however are we sure it's a worm doing the actual munching or are they just investigating a new hole?
This method is more or less what was been suggested , just that I’m going to do it to a dry tank. And convert it into a freshwater tank

Cleaning out the tank I found a few more tunnels.
Thought I might,

Was awesome to meet you today mate and chat reefing! Thanks for taking me across to Aquatic Collection with you, it was a blast to see some cool stuff we don't get in Aus! Hopefully the transfer treats you alright and things settle in quickly!
