Well the wife approved of a second tank to grow out our latest batch of rock flower anemone. So far I have transferred over about 20-30. Decided to do a bunch of coral rubble as substrate so that it will allow easier removal once they are big enough to sell.

I took a standard 10g tank and added a few pieces of acrylic from tap plastics to make a small compartment in the back for pump, heater and some marine pure balls from the other tank. Even though it has a small mj900 pump, the babies were having a tough time with the current, so I placed a piece of foam over the return nozzle to spread out the flow and it seems to have worked. I also added a small par38 bulb with 15"arm that provides a good blue spectrum.

Any other suggestions on things I might have missed or should do differently?

I will be spot feeding these guys once a day when I feed the other tank.

Nice! That's almost the exact setup I was thinking about if I make a dwarf seahorse tank. I would recommend maybe filter floss or some other mechanical filtration to catch any extra food. I think that would help keep nutrients down

I do have a piece of foam over the edge where the overflow is to catch some big pieces and plan to also add a bag of carbon in the second compartment if needed.

Yes, manual ato....made a mark on the outside of the pump compartment as to low and high levels.....top just to make sure nothing falls in...the tank is near the front door.

Do you have room for acrylic expansion? If it's too tight it'll crack your tank.

I put a bead of silicone on the walls first and then pushed these into place...and secured the other side with silicone. How much expansion will occur? And when, it's been like this for about a week with water running thru it...

Not sure it might depend on temp as well. Saw a lot of crack tanks with acrylic baffles.

Never knew that, good to know if I do anything with acrylic baffles.

Are you getting your flower anemones locally? If so, where. I have not been able to find anything nice locally.
