2025 Contest Discussion and Ideas

I’m no photographer
But this hammer will not be fragged anytime soon
This tank is 30” tall and 24” wide
The colony is larger than a basketball
Started as a 3 head frag...7 years ago
It’s so big that the YTBlue tang hides up inside it

This sure does seem like it should also count as an official POTM submission! :p
Thanks for chiming in.

So just to clarify, are you offering the colony to be fragged for a growout contest? Is this already a DBTC coral by chance? That would accomplish a couple goals I had in mind for choosing a specimen.

Lol he's not offering that hammer, I thinking it's the pride of his coral collection. If he did it would be like that eye candy tank at Neptunes they make you walk past "price =s how bad do you want it lmao"

For the price he would accpet you could probably buy 4 others of similar size elsewhere

If we can do that, let's buy out @CaseyP Dragon Soul Torch colony :p The ones I got from him a couple months ago are already starting to split.
I'm not opposed to that but that'd be later 2025 so more heads can grow for distribution.

Pic from today after fragging ~25 heads in the last couple months. I'm going to remarket it as CP Flying Spaghetti Monster torch :p

I have enough GMKs to do a contest of that one, I could sit it out and be a judge. I would still like to participate in another SPS one though!
Not sure how you've managed it but your ones grow so fast

I fragged mine yesterday and the main piece is still doing great

Mine is not nearly that long anymore, but it's still fluffy. Looking at the top right of your colony, those are 6 inch tentacles??

Not to be fragged anytime soon
The determining factor will be space for the magnet for cleaning
;)
