3030 T slot aluminum

Anyone know where you can buy 3030 T slot aluminum in the Bay Area?

I'm thinking about building a mount for my 2 xr15's out of this and was hoping to get it from a shop rather then on line if possible.

I don’t know where you live. But there’s lots of places on and off of 3rd Street in sf. When I was doing lots of fabrication. My go to place was Alco. I usually buy from their remnants and it’s by weight. Not sure how they do it now though after Covid.

Aluminum cuts very easy. It’s a soft metal. Almost anything will cut it.

Table saw, chop saw, radial arm saw, skilsaw, recip saw, hack saw, etc

The light rail for my Kessil a360x is made from T slot. I used a chop saw with an aluminum cutting blade and the cuts were clean and smooth.

indeed they are 3d printed, I don't have a file for them but you can contact neon_reefer whom printed them and has an IG account and is on Reef2reef.

Guide to DIY with T-Slot Aluminum

Will this be strong enough for aquarium rack system. Multiple aquariums stacked vertically I don't see why not. Choose beefy profile like 45*45 and 45*90, use gussets and plates and you'll be fine.

Try Woodcraft in San Carlos. Lots of woodworking stuff, T-slots are used for jigs, etc. Give them a call and ask!
