Might I suggest using zip ties to bundle any excess cord length behind the respective cabinet you want to hide it behind. Then for the exposed center portion you can encase them in this tubing? (Lots of choices this is just one:

literally only the center part that runs exposed between the cabinets. Maybe just organize a couple bundles, like one with all the mp40s/pumps other with temp probes/heaters ect… would try to have them run as close to the floor too, white would blend with white baseboards as well. 3 exposed tubes would be better than all the single cords. Just an idea.

Velcro for cable management for sure as @Darkxerox mentioned. Zip ties will bring frustration. Wire wraps like @Don.Julio91 suggested will clean up the appearance a lot. You could also utilize wall mount cable management (wire raceway) options to run the wires in. The only issue I see is the number of wires that would fit in them. It would look very clean though, even you end up getting the wider options.

Not sure how you guys do this though but I clean my equipment on a regular basis, gyres every 12 weeks, same as media reactors, MP40s etc. I calibrate probes, PH, ORP, temp, so none of this seems to qualify to be zipe tied or velcroed to each other. In principle, it is a very good idea but I struggle with the implementation.

Sounds like you need a cable raceway then.

I used raceways like mentioned above.

Make 3:
Frequent maintenance- items like return pump, gyres or any powerhead, probe lines
Not so frequent- heater, UV etc
And wet lines- dosing or ato

Top to bottom right above your baseboard. It's easy to put a face plate on ot to hide it later on.

Don't run the race way behind your tank too far. I made this mistake and found the covers a pain to remove.

For the slack you have in the cord, tie it off so you have just enough to go where you need it to be. The mess is derived from the excess wire..tidy it up and incorporate drip loops. If your running it along your baseboard, anywater that'll fall will hit the floor and not creep upwards when you get to the cabinet.

Once I finished running all of mine, I simulated taking everything apart to see of it was too much.

I ran my wet lines outside of a track, all just after of preference.

Right above the wet lines are two tracks that house all of my cords. While it's a snug fit, the one I posted above should house any cords needed and still leave room to work in. Just make sure to label everything so it's easy to fish out if need be.

Ohh yea, and for all of your power bricks, I would space those out. Buy or find someone who can 3D print you a brick holder. Those things get hot and a bunch of them touching is a recipe for disaster.

My yellow tang has been a troubled child for a while. I noticed now she is not eating, or barely eating anymore - and has become far too thin now. This is unfortunately terrible timing since I will be going on vacation in a little over a week.

The plan is now to try to catch her tomorrow - with some great guidance I received today from @SupraSaltyReefer on how to - not sure if I am successful, I never tried this before.

If I catch her, Kenny agreed to try treating her, which I very much appreciate.

The video link shows how she is staying close to the seaweed but not eating it.

While many had fun at the CFM today, others had to work hard. I have done the most difficult thing in my live, catching a yellow tang in my tank.

I gave myself a less than 50% chance of success but after approx 15 min, and with the help of my son, we were surprisingly successful. @SupraSaltyReefer 's recommended approach worked, but I also thought that she was tired after a while, which helped with the result.



I brought her to @under_water_ninja and hope she can recover. She did not eat again today, very sad.

I took the video today again to record the status quo.

Well the good news is, I got the tang to start eating a couple days ago! I will run home through a round of qt starting next week, he will get treated for internal bacterial infections. Now that he’s eating I’m feeling a lot better, I was getting stressed after almost a week of no eating! Very hopeful for this guy now!

New sump lights for this tank (and the nano tank). Sometimes solutions are so simple if you know them. Only concern was if they were to come off and fall into the water, but the way there are positioned, this should not happen.

Also, temperature went above 80F today, despite the airconditioning set to 77F. The tank is in the hallway with a roof window so it gets much warmer than the rest of the house. Need to consider this when I am gone. And I forgot I had these two fans (I believe previously recomended by @JVU).
