Fox face passed away. I’m running the skimmer wet and making water

Sorry to hear about your fox face :(

Agree with the suggestions about manually scooping out the foam in the sump and running your skimmer wet. If you skim out a lot of water make sure to add back saltwater not just let ATO refill (assuming your salinity is good).

My fairy wrasse had a seizure, tried to jump out and then sank to the bottom. Some of the other fish are showing normal behavior. I have an air stone running in the tank and will keep changing water as fast as I can make it. I cleaned the skimmer and I’m skimming wet

I hate myself for letting this happen.

I wonder if this could be one of those sea cucumber poisoning events that we hear about

Added carbon and fed the fish. All of them ate normally except for the clown pair which seem to be under duress.

Got 20g of clean water in and skimmed out 4g of bad water. The skimmer has stopped overflowing. Fish look better.

Wet skim and replace the water, plus some ice packs to bring it down on this hot day :)

Doing a factory reset on the Apex was very satisfying. Leaving all that baggage behind…
