Any ideas on this?

I know it's not much to go on, but essentially a rock with bright yellow/green 'polyps" ?? I'll try to get something clearer, but is it even coral?

What color are they under just white lights?

Bright green/Yellow under normal lights ... Will try to get a better shot this evening under less Actinic ...

the indentations of the rock make me think somewhere in the direction of favia type corals. I have seen something similar when you have a "dead coral" that still has some life left in it and out come polyps

If there is any chance of rescue, what am I looking at doing? Besides the obvious water params?

Looks like a Favia to me as well.

If you can actually see coral mouth, maybe a rescue. The other thing is that it simply might be a sponge of some type too that is growing in the "favia homes"
