Hi all - I think the weekend coming up will be the BAR rock making workshop!
If anyone would like to get together in January for an extra reef-related gathering, I can host in Pleasant Hill (near Concord - NOT Pleasanton), near junction of I-680 and CA-24, as well as BART.
I have never hosted any reef thing and am unsure of a focus, but since we aren't making tank food until August, food making could be good. If anyone has an idea or wants to present something, post away! It would be at my awesome classroom (separate from the rest of the school) with tons of space, big tables, multiple sinks, outside hose, great presentation set up, science stuff, etc. Good place to make a mess, practice rock making skills from the workshop, frag corals with the club bandsaw, give a mini-presentation of your choice or anything people would like. Nearby LFS are Diablo Corals, All About Fish, and Concord Aquarium (not sure if they have saltwater stuff).
