Anyone have a Neptune Apex EL head unit I can borrow?

I recently changed my router and now am having an issue putting the Apex head unit into setup mode to connect it to WiFi.

I’ve reached out to Neptune to trouble shoot but will be leaving for vacation soon. I know it’s a long shot, but would anyone have an Apex extra head unit that I could use while I’m away on vacation?

I have one in santa clara. It doesn't belong to me. It's for @IOnceWasLegend (he's probably forgot about it as well) Josh. I doubt he would mind if you borrowed it provided you keep it safe and return in same condition.

I've honestly have had it so long I forgot about it until seeing this post. He let me use it well over a year and a half ago to try out and I never got it hooked it up. I need to figure out how to return it to him. As I've been officially converted to team hydros.

To resolve the wifi issue, I connected it to erhernet. Using apex browser, add the unit. Then from the apex browser or fusion site, configure wifi.

I can do a remote where i connect to your computer and help setup.

I just bought an apex unit and the Wi-Fi didnt work. It turned out to be the dongle. They are removable. Dunno if that helps you or not.

I don’t think I saw this dongle when I took apart my head unit. I can’t put my apex into setup mode to get it to connect to wifi.

I was working on the regular one dunno if the el has it. It’s in the middle stack if there’s one.
That’s how the one was that I bought. It would connect with the eithernet but not Wi-Fi.

I gotta ask but did hou hard reset and do the set up process again? i always have that issue when i break down my tanks or i move wifi router or change wifi in general the best way i found for it to work again was just resetting it with the back button and completely re doing the set up initiate after that it should recognize ur previous setup

Can't even hard reset. I've held the button longer than 30 seconds and no change.

I spoke with Neptune and apparently they can tell on their backend that the save data on my memory card has been corrupted? Has anyone heard about this happening?

They said its a huge risk and something could happen while I'm on vacation. When I asked how I could tell its corrupted, they said I couldn't and that only they can tell from backend. They recommended that I buy a new Apex head unit...

Find someone trusted better if it's a reefer. Leave a key with them so they could check on ur systems if need be while ur on vacation. It would only give you peace of mind even if they only stopped by once or twice. To say everything looks OK.

Just meet with them before you go so you can give them a run down of how things are running etc.

Wyze cameras aimed at tanks/ sumps also help. You can view them from anywhere at anytime.

Just a heads up with anyone that has issues connecting their Apex to wifi, which I did with my current unit as well as Josh's:

You need to configure 3 settings on your router:

1. Only use 2.4GHz (disable mesh network or smart connect)
2. Security needs to WPA2 and can't be TKIP
3. Channel needs to be fixed, pick a number between 1-11. Can't be auto
4. Mode has to 802.11b/g/n mixed. Doesn't support 802.11b/g/n/ax mixed
