Richard, the area rep for Coralvue, has agreed to do a talk on aquarium automation with the club. We're still setting up details (including date), but this is an excellent opportunity for everyone to come up with questions to ask. Here's some examples we have so far:

  1. What can you do with automation?
  2. What are the benefits of automation?
  3. We have people of varying experience + skills in the hobby. At what point in your reefing journey do you think people should automate?
  4. Why would you pick Hydros over Apex, GHL, etc.?
  5. Why would you pick a competitor over Hydros?
  6. What would a Hydros setup look like if:
    1. I dosed two-part? If I dosed kalk? If I used a calcium reactor?
    2. I wanted to automate alkalinity testing? Or other parameter testing?
    3. I wanted to perform automatic water changes?
    4. I wanted everything under a single ecosystem?
  7. What do you think the future of reef automation looks like, in general?
  8. What does the future look like for Hydros?

Could we include all for reef with the dosing questions will edit if anything else comes up.
 
Do you want questions here? If so, here are mine:

Why do most, if not all, automation testers require you to test calcium and magnesium so often? I would prefer one that tests once a week, or save costs and remove Calcium/Mag all together.

In the future, is there a possibility of a modular automatic tester, where you can customize it to add or remove the desired tests?
