Recently I bought a brand new "hang on sump" algae scrubber from an ebay seller based on a handful of random reviews online. I'd heard he had a great return policy so I figured why not.

Well was I ever surprised. It's SO well made and well designed. It doesn't feel like someone's garage DIY project. It's solid construction, well thought out, with great optional features like an included filter sock and multiple ways to control water flow. The lights are heavy duty and well designed, and everything glides together really well.

I'll update the post on how it grows algae but just wanted to post some first impressions of the system. I've attached some of my pictures along with the link below.

Ten day check-in - algae is growing great so far. I think this could be a great help to those of us who don't have space for a fuge and still want some solid nutrient export. So far no leaks, no compliants, 10/10 product.
