Hi all!!

My name is Tico and I'm back in that saltwater hobby after a 15 year absence. I am an avid motorcyclist and racer. I started 3 months ago with a Fluvel 5 gal Evo and quickly realized I need to go bigger.

Soooooo my lady and I purchased a IM 30 gallon long from Aquatic collection in Hayward

I'm a huge fan of corals but unfortunately not ready to purchase all of them needed at once.

If anyone has any tips as the where to find deals on corals let me know!
Also any other tips and tricks would be appreciated.

Also looking for a used AI prime HD and a MP10

what did you make that stand out of?
Is there a top plate / board that the tank sits on? I wound not feel safe with the tank just sitting on the 2 bars.

The tank is supported by the boards at 8 points aside from being on top of the bars

Built the stand out of 3/4 inch galvanized steel for anything larger I would recommend using 2 inch boards

December Update :

30 gallon long is finally set up
Looking to pick up a wave maker, ATO and another AI light asap

Discovered ick on my clownfish in my 5 gallon so it prompted me to spend more $$$ and set up a QT

I also bought a Bicolor blenny- question is are those white spots normal for the Blenny-?

I have a tiger shrimp and Watchman goby pair that I may be looking to trade as the tiger shrimp tends to chop up all of my micro alge. :/

Those white spots are normal on the blenny. They kind of change colors/patterns when they are stressed (ie. being transported).

Tank looks good, love those dimensions! And of course welcome to they club!

I hear that, that's why I involved my GF with all my hobbies so she can be just as involved and excited too including motorcycles.. my way to avoid any sacrafices lol
