Mine is still alive but hasn't really ever grown much and has no colour. I suspect it is because I have insufficiently bright lights in that tank.

I have them sitting high up under LEDs. Pretty nice blue/purple near the tip and tan towards the bottom due to polyp extension. Has grown pretty fast for me.
