I got both of mine from
@under_water_ninja. To me the main difference is the polyp spacing and color. The FF has polyps packed in tighter whereas the bubblegum is more spaced out. The FF polyps are a brighter orange too. Here are a couple crappy pics where you can see both of them.
I'm not trying to get too into the lineage and whatnot. It just seems like many of us in the club have the same or a very similar coral and some of us are having consistent success bringing out the brightly colored tips (imho they are green not yellow, sorry
@derek_SR ), and some of us are not.
I'm going to try bringing up my calcium and alk soon, but based on what I'm hearing that probably won't do it. I'll also try stepping up the water changes at some point. I kinda feel like that's what did it the last time, but that's a low-confidence guess. I'm sure my house sitters brought up the nutrients significantly, but either that wasn't it or it wasn't high enough. Will report back if anything works for me.
My skimmer is oversized. Could that be it? Just trying to find a common denominator here. If there is one to be found.
