Can you build a legit fish trap

Hi guys. I need to catch a full size blue tang but I’m hesitant to buy a fish trap. For what they are I think they Are way overpriced. Google searches just come up with two bottles put together but nothing with a movable door that’s big Enough. I have a 3D printer so I can print something if there is a design that works. Thanks for the help.
