Cali Kid Corals

Changes to frag swaps going forward

I thought these were some reasonable comments you made and I would be curious to know if the responses you received answered the questions you had?
Thanks @Alexander1312 I was planning on coming on and providing some feedback but got caught up with the workweek. Here is my attempt now.

I actually appreciate a lot of the responses here. I agree with some that I am overthinking it a little, but I was doing it on purpose a little bit incase there were others out there who might have the same worries. It didnt seem like anyone else provided any feedback of any concerns so I think that is a good thing and maybe there are fewer of the non confident less experienced fraggers out there than i thought.

I appreciate everyone who has provided their rundowns on Labeling and procedures on fragging ahead of the swap. I agree with all of their ideas and believe they will contribute to having the best chance of delivering healthy corals. I also agree alot with what @JVU said. It does appear that this is about tightening up our enforcement. I am not speaking for him, but if you look at the original post, it almost appears as though the main example is that people were trying to get into the bonus/ultra round with less than bonus/ultra round quality corals. They were either misidentifying them or providing sub par healthy stock. This almost seems more intentional than someone like me who is just new to the game and trying his best.

With all of that said, not that a fragging workshop would stop someone from purposely donating unhealthy frags, but i do agree with @Srt4eric comment on the workshops and will try to join one when the opportunity arises.

Thanks everyone for the comments again. And while I would always be worried of someone saying that they discontinued going to a frag swap because of a coral of mine they received; I do think that is very very low in probability. And hopefully with it being properly identified with my name, that the problem would be solved before it made it to a tank. It just shows the importance of making sure that your name is on the frag cup.

Even if you don't plan on swapping, there's free food and raffles. Plus DBTC corals and pay it forward items. There's a reason it's everyone's favorite type of event!
