Sad day here...
15+ year old mag-5 (or 7) failed in the middle of the night.
lost my pair of zebra eels, a Rhinecanthus rectangulus and saddest of all the radiant wrasse that I received from JROCHA several years ago!

so pissed!!

on an upside...
for those of you in need of a copepod starter of a refugium, they survived the cold temp.
if you want, I will keep the tank up through this weekend

You can set it to monitor power use per outlet. It could have notified you that the pump power consumption changed.

They pick the best times to fail.

My frag tank pump had a catastrophic failure last year when I was out of town; thankfully @Srt4eric is awesome, was watching the tanks for me, and plumbed one in immediately.

What a mess. Definite sympathies.

I have tried to make my one tank fairly redundant with limited success.
Knowing your semi-outside multi-tank setup, I am not sure I would even know where to start, let alone predicting all the special failures.
