Does anyone know what this bubble growth is from my I Wanna Sex You Up Mycedium DBTC? Should I pop outside of the tank and dip? Slice off the bubble? Frag it off the colony?

It didn't grow that big over night, but over a course of a few months. Color is different because I removed from my Radium Display Tank to my T5 Frag Tank. It seems to be growing fine and healthy other than the bubble.

I also had on a favia, until one day a hermit crab decided to eat it.

Does anyone know what it is or causes it? Is it full of water or tissue? Could you maybe cut it off with a razor and start a frag? Very interesting all around.

Erin: Did you notice any trend to cause it? Irritation, feeding response, light, or moving the coral?

I'm sorry to say that I did not. In one case it lasted many months, and the other (on another individual) broke off and blew around the tank for while.

Sounds like polyp bailout. Check for low magnesium, and water parameters in general.
