Just curious, do you know how it happened? Was it equipment failure that caused the ro water to overfill tank?

Just curious, do you know how it happened? Was it equipment failure that caused the ro water to overfill tank?

My RO system collection container is on a shelf over my tank in the garage. The auto shut off valve got stuck, water overflowed from the container into the tank. I didn't notice for about 24 hours, salinity dropped to almost fresh water
